Neurofeedback can welcome increased peace of mind, focus, sleep quality, job, academic, and sports performance, spiritual growth, authenticity and more!

Since the brain governs all physical, mental, emotional, and intellectual functions, Neurofeedback is an option that can support all of us in our personal and professional growth endeavors and overall wellness.

What is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is essentially “personal training for the brain.”

Based on five decades of research into helping people learn about and change their brain waves, Neurofeedback is also known as EEG Biofeedback. Utilizing the power of modern computers to capture and analyze brainwave activity, useful information gets “fed-back” to the brain about its own functioning. Using non-invasive EEG techniques to measure brain waves, the brain is essentially able to “look in a mirror” and notice what’s off track. With this information, it can re-regulate and improve its functioning.

Neurofeedback is a drug-free, gentle, and holistic training process that can help restore the brain waves to better patterns of functioning and thus decrease bothersome symptoms.

Neurofeedback training has helped children, adolescents and adults with:

  • Fatigue, Stress, and Irritability
  • Anger Management
  • Disturbances in attention, concentration, mood reactivity, and learning capacities
  • Learning Disabilities, Autistic and Developmental Disorders
  • Acquired Brain Injury
  • Peak Athletic Performance

Neurofeedback has the potential to reduce and even eliminate:

  • Trauma symptoms, i.e. hyperarousal, nightmares, flashbacks, dissociation
  • Anxiety and panic attacks
  • Mood Concerns, i.e.Depression, Bipolar Disorder
  • Sleep management problems
  • Addictive and Obsessive Compulsive Behaviors
  • Migraines Headaches
  • Chronic Pain
  • Weight Issues
  • PMS/Menopause symptoms
  • And More!

FAQs about Neurofeedback

What can I expect during a neurofeedback session?

In a quiet and peaceful environment, you will relax comfortably on a couch with small sensors gently placed on the scalp and ears. You will then listen to calming music while watching dynamic graphics (or you can choose to close your eyes if you prefer). The training session will last about 30 minutes.

How many sessions will I need and how often?

Each person’s progress is unique and depends on various factors, but most people notice at least subtle changes within one-four sessions. Brain training is like physical exercise, one visit to the gym is helpful, but we get more results with more training. Typically people come once weekly for 10-20 sessions and then schedule booster sessions as desired.

How will change happen?

Change happens naturally as a result of the brain receiving feedback about its functioning and making corrections accordingly. This feedback is given to the brain through short pauses in the music; no conscious intervention is necessary for change to occur.

At Path To Growth, LLC, we use the state of the art NeurOptimal Neurofeedback system powered by Zengar, which is one of the most advanced systems in use today. It does not push the brain in any directions, it works across all brainwave frequencies, honoring the wisdom of the central nervous system to receive feedback, which it then uses to regulate itself in the ways that are physiologically best for each individual.

Neurofeedback sessions are available in Path To Growth’s beautiful Winter Springs office and may be covered by insurance. Click here to learn more about rates and insurance information.
